Halbrook is a platform Republican and has no political baggage. He is a clean candidate and therefore will be inexpensive to run. Since 1994, he has successfully run his own fence contracting company. A few years ago, he fulfilled his American Dream with the purchase of an 80 acre family homestead. He is 50 years old and will celebrate 30 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart this summer. As Republican County Chairman, he has flipped blue Shelby County red. For the first time in decades, the Republicans won County Board Chairman and States Attorney positions.
Halbrook has already “earned the right” to your funding. He is a Republican County Chairman who has decided to run against the East Central Illinois Republican establishment. This shows the raw courage of Brad Halbrook. He has put his entire political, business and family reputation on the line.
Brad Halbrook has assembled the best team in East Central Illinois politics. In just six days, the ground forces gathered 1,500 petition signatures- the legal maximum and three times the filing requirement. This state representative seat can be won on the ground, door-to-door by the hard work of the candidate and stalwart, passionate volunteers.

Roger Eddy is “sponsored” by the teachers unions and school administrator groups to the tune of nearly $180,000 since 2001. Source: Illinois Board of Elections, People for Roger Eddy D2 filings since 2001. Click here to review totals.
As a double dipper (school superintendent & state rep), Roger Eddy has a total compensation package funded by Illinois taxpayers of over $283,520 per year. This illustrates how long-time insiders benefit from the system they created. It’s time to challenge this sense of entitlement. Source: For The Good of Illinois… Read entire post here.
